Mircho Spasov Christov was a Bulgarian officer of the People's Militia and State Security (General-Polkovnik) and a politician of the Bulgarian Communist Party (BCP). He joined the illegal activities of the BCP as a youth, was imprisoned, and later became a significant figure in State Security and the Ministry of Internal Affairs, serving as Deputy Minister. Known for his involvement in violent repression and allegations of corruption, he oversaw concentration camps during the communist regime. After the fall of communism, he was prosecuted for his role in these camps and died under house arrest.
