Mireia Farrés i Bosch is a Catalan trumpeter born on January 19, 1980, in Santpedor. She began studying the trumpet at the age of eight and achieved the Premi d'Honor in 1997. At 18, she moved to Boston to study at the New England Conservatory. Upon returning to Spain, she joined the Orquestra Ciutat de Granada as a solo trumpeter in 2001, and later became a soloist with the Orquestra Simfònica de Barcelona i Nacional de Catalunya in 2004. She also teaches at the Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya and participates in orchestral stages.
