Mirela Rahneva is a Canadian skeleton racer of Bulgarian descent, born in 1988 in Ruse, Bulgaria. She began her sports career as a rugby player at the University of Guelph before switching to skeleton in 2012. She joined the Canadian national team in 2016 and competed in the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang. Rahneva finished third in the overall standings for women's skeleton at the FIS World Cup in the 2016/17 season and was also part of the Canadian team for the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing.
