Miriam Kearney is an Irish former politician and member of Fine Gael, who served as a Senator from 1981 to 1982. Appointed at the age of 22 by Taoiseach Garret FitzGerald, she was the youngest member of Seanad Éireann. A graduate of University College Cork, Kearney was actively involved in Young Fine Gael. During her time in office, she supported the abolition of jury trials in accident compensation cases and the death penalty. She managed the Taoiseach's campaign during the 1982 election and later served as Assistant General Secretary of Fine Gael.
