Aino Mirjami Suonio (née Oittinen) was a Finnish children's author and radio host. Born on April 11, 1906, in Helsinki, she worked as a secretary in the speech programs department of Yleisradio until her retirement in 1967. After being widowed, she started her career in broadcasting, and from 1949 to 1959, she hosted a children's radio program known as 'Perheen nuorimmille,' where she was affectionately referred to as Aunt Mirri. She was married to opera singer and actor Aatto Antero Suonio.
