Mirko Čepič was a Slovenian journalist born on October 30, 1927, in Ljubljana, who passed away in 2011 in the same city. He completed his studies at the journalism and diplomacy school in Belgrade in 1952 and began working as a journalist at the Maribor newspaper Večer in 1953, later serving as its editor-in-chief from 1973 to 1975. He was also a secretary for information in the Executive Council of the Socialist Republic of Slovenia from 1976 to 1980 and an assistant director of informative radio programs at RTV Slovenia from 1981.
