Mirna Pinsky is a Brazilian writer, poet, and playwright from São Paulo, born on December 12, 1943. She has dedicated much of her work to children's literature, publishing over forty books and selling more than three million copies. With a background in journalism and a master's degree in literary theory, she has also worked as a reporter and editor. Pinsky is known for her initiative 'Escreva Comigo', aimed at engaging public school students with reading and writing, and has received numerous awards for her contributions to literature.
