Miro Jeršič was a Slovenian lawyer, politician, and publicist born on January 13, 1902, in Rovte, Logatec. He graduated from the Faculty of Law in Ljubljana in 1928. Jeršič was involved in the Christian socialist movement and became a member of the Yugoslav Professional Union, editing its publication Delavska pravica. He was also an editor for various journals and active in the Osvobodilna fronta during WWII. He was arrested by Italian fascists in 1942, sentenced to two years in prison, and continued his activism after the war until 1962, focusing on healthcare and social security.
