Miro Weinberger, born on February 25, 1970, is an American politician known for being the 42nd mayor of Burlington, Vermont. His election marked a significant shift as he became the first Democratic mayor of the city since Gordon Paquette lost to Bernie Sanders in 1981. Weinberger previously served as the Democratic Party chair for Chittenden County during the 2004 election cycle. His community involvement includes a nine-year tenure on the Burlington Airport Commission, presidency of the Turning Point Center for drug recovery, and participation on the board of ECHO Lake Aquarium.
