Miroslav Jansta is a Czech lawyer and sports official born on March 8, 1962, in Nymburk. He is the chairman of the Czech Basketball Federation and the Czech Union of Sports. After the Velvet Revolution, he became a Slovak politician, joining the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia and serving as a member of the Federal Assembly's Chamber of Peoples in 1989. Since 1993, he has been a member of the Czech Social Democratic Party.
