Miroslav Perc, also known by the illegal name Maks, was a Slovenian national hero born on February 2, 1912, in Ljubljana. He graduated in civil engineering and joined the Communist Party of Yugoslavia (KPJ) in 1934. Perc was an activist in the People's Liberation Movement (OF), serving as the chief of the Security Intelligence Service (VOS) for the Littoral region and the 9th Corps of the People's Liberation Army. He died in battle against German forces on April 1, 1945, in Ogalce.
