Miroslav Prokop was a Czech resistance activist born on October 22, 1922, in Mezilesí, Kladsko. During the German occupation, he joined non-communist anti-German resistance efforts, helping his father establish an illegal resistance group in Prague. Prokop assisted in distributing illegal publications and relayed messages for the Military Radio Center in London. After a Gestapo raid, he and his mother were arrested, while his father escaped. Prokop endured brutal interrogations, was sentenced to death, and executed on February 13, 1942, in Mauthausen.
