Miroslav Ševčík is a Czech economist and university teacher born on June 15, 1958, in Gottwaldov. He served as the dean of the Faculty of Economics at the University of Economics in Prague from 2010 to 2018 and again from 2022 to 2023. In 1989, he co-founded the Liberal Institute and was its director from 1990 until 2013. He was dismissed from this role in 2013 and subsequently expelled from the organization, after which he co-founded the Liberal Academy in 2017 with other expelled colleagues.
