Miroslav Večeřa was a Czech multi-instrumentalist, arranger, and music editor, born on February 7, 1942, in Ostrava and died on May 24, 1994, in the same city. Initially trained as a chemist, he graduated in flute performance from the Ostrava Conservatory in 1980. He performed in various musical groups and was a member of the Army Art Ensemble during his military service. Večeřa co-founded the band Flamingo and established the group Bukanýři in 1969. From 1992 to 1994, he worked as a music editor for Czech Radio in Ostrava.
