Irene Magdalena 'Mirre' Hofsten was a Swedish editor, born on December 3, 1925, in Stockholm. She was the daughter of Colonel Gustaf Croneborg and Madeleine Kuylenstjerna. Hofsten obtained a degree in philosophy in Uppsala in 1949 and became a social worker in 1961. She worked as an editor for 'Sociala Meddelanden' and freelanced while reviewing children's TV for Aftonbladet. Later, she was editor for the 'Författaren' magazine. She served on local committees and chaired the Left Party in Sundbyberg from 1981 to 1983. Hofsten passed away on February 21, 2016.
