She was a member of the Peru women's national volleyball team and served as the team captain during the Grand Prix. Mirtha is the sister of Daniela Uribe and the niece of Cenaida Uribe, both of whom are also connected to the sport of volleyball. Her contributions to the team were significant during her athletic career.
