Mirza Abbas is a Bangladeshi politician and businessman, known for serving as the mayor of the undivided Dhaka City Corporation and a member of parliament for Dhaka-6. He held the position of Minister for Housing and Public Works in Khaleda Zia's second cabinet. Abbas is a member of the National Standing Committee of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP). He was actively involved in political movements against authoritarian regimes in the 1980s and played a key role as an organizer in Bangladesh's political landscape.
