Namaan worked as a reader and proofreader before becoming the director of the Saint Paul Printing House. In 1979, he established a cultural house in Lebanon, focusing on publishing and translation. He received notable awards, including the Lebanese Order of Knowledge in 1985 and the French Order of Arts and Letters in 1989. He passed away on January 8, 1994, with a rich literary legacy, preserved by his son through a literary prize in his name.
