Mitsunori Koike is a Japanese stone sculptor born on July 28, 1948, in Matsumoto, Nagano. After graduating from Matsumoto Shinshuu High School, he pursued his dream of becoming a sculptor, studying in Italy and the USA. He participates in numerous international sculpture symposiums and has created many monuments worldwide. In Japan, he designs landscapes and produces various monuments for individuals and corporations. Since 2000, Koike has been experimenting with stone crafts. He resides in Nagano and works at a sculpture studio, teaching art to the public.
