Mitsuru Adachi is a renowned Japanese manga artist and author born on February 9, 1951, in Isesaki, Gunma Prefecture, Japan. After graduating from high school in 1969, he started his career working as an assistant to Isami Ishii and published his first manga in 1970 with the help of Kieta Bakuon. His work Nine gained immense success in 1978, leading to other popular titles like Miyuki, Rough, and Touch. He received the 54th Annual Shogakukan Manga Award for his series Cross Game in 2009, which was adapted into an anime in 2010.
