Mitsuru Asada (born December 6, 1938) is a Japanese businessman known for being the chairman of Hannan (currently Hanyu Foods), a meat wholesale company. He is referred to as the godfather of the meat industry in Japan and was a former regional officer of the Buraku Liberation League. Asada is recognized internationally, receiving VIP treatment from livestock-producing countries like the United States and Australia. He is often referred to as the King of World Meat, and is also known by the alias Asada Mitsu.
