Mitsushige Shimizu (February 12, 1925 - June 9, 1979) was a notable figure in the Yakuza, serving as the third-generation vice-leader of the Yamagucci-gumi and the first leader of the Shimizu-kai. Born in Kobe, he founded the Shimizu-kai in the 1950s and became involved in organized crime, notably being arrested for his role in a high-profile attack. He later gained significant influence within the Yamagucci-gumi and worked to manage relationships between various factions until his death in 1979 at the age of 54.
