Miya Tachibana is a retired Japanese synchronized swimmer from Ōtsu, Shiga Prefecture, born on December 12, 1976. She won a total of five Olympic medals during her career. At the 1996 Atlanta Olympics, she earned a bronze medal in team events. In the subsequent 2000 Sydney Olympics, she secured silver in both duet and team competitions, repeating this success at the 2004 Athens Olympics. Additionally, she has won six World Championship medals, including one gold, and four gold medals at the Asian Games.
