Miyako Morifuku is a Japanese novelist born on March 31, 1963, in Suo-Oshima, Yamaguchi Prefecture. After graduating from Hiroshima University with a degree in pharmaceutical sciences in 1985, she worked in a pharmaceutical company and a hospital pharmacy. She began receiving guidance in writing from Kyuichiro Komachi in 1994. Morifuku made her debut in 1996, winning the White Heart Award for her work "Bara no Myouyaku" and the Matsumoto Seichou Prize for "Chouan Botan Ka Ibon". Her hobbies include art appreciation.
