Mkrtichʻ Koryun (born May 19, 1913 – December 20, 1984) was an Armenian poet and prose writer, recognized as a prominent figure in contemporary Armenian literature. He received a candidate of philological sciences degree and became a member of the Soviet Writers' Union in 1934 and the Communist Party of the Soviet Union in 1938. Koryun is celebrated for being a worthy successor to medieval Armenian moralists, carrying forward the legacy of luminaries such as Gosh, Aygektsu, Khachatur Abovian, and Hovhannes Tumanyan.
