M'mbelwa V is the reigning King of the Ngoni and Tumbuka people in Malawi, Zambia, and Tanzania. He is the fifth son of King Zwangendaba Jele and Queen Munene. M'mbelwa V ascended to the throne after his father passed away in February 2013. His headquarters is located in Edingeni, Mzimba. A significant leader during the COVID-19 pandemic, he called for restrictions on mass gatherings to safeguard public health.
