Mobolaji Olufunso Johnson was a notable Nigerian Army Brigadier and a prominent political figure. He served as the Military Administrator of the Federal territory of Lagos from January 1966 to May 1967. Following this role, he became the first Governor of Lagos State from May 1967 to July 1975 during the military regime of General Yakubu Gowon. Johnson is remembered for overseeing significant decisions, including the contentious demolition of the Ajele Cemetery in the 1970s.
