Modie Cox, born on December 29, 1972, is a former American basketball player who played for the Buffalo Bulls and various professional teams. He is now an assistant coach for the Niagara Falls Wolverines. Cox is also a recognized motivational speaker, promoting his outreach program, Winning Because I Tried, since 2007. His achievements include being a New York State Class B champion and a gold medalist at the Empire State Games, along with coaching successes and honors. He has dedicated much of his life to youth mentorship and community service.
