Throughout her career, she won five gold medals at the Pan African Games and secured a gold in long jump at the 1974 Commonwealth Games. At age 18, she represented Nigeria at the 1972 Munich Summer Olympics, where she finished 19th in long jump qualification and 14th in the pentathlon. Unfortunately, the Nigerian 4x100 meter relay team did not advance to the finals, recording the slowest qualifying time.
