Mohamed Amiri Salimou, born on August 6, 1962, in Antsirabe, Madagascar, is a notable military figure in the Comoros. He serves as a General in the Armée nationale de développement (AND) and was the Chief of Staff from July 2007 to August 31, 2010. Salimou made history as the first Comorian military officer to graduate from the prestigious Saint-Cyr Military Academy (General Monclar Promotion, 1984). His cohort included François Lecointre, a general of the French Armed Forces, marking him as the first and only general in Comoros.
