Abdul Qadir Mohamed Farah (1961 - 2020) was a legendary Somali footballer. He played professionally starting in 1976, making his mark in the national school football tournament and later representing Somalia internationally until his retirement in the late 1980s. In his later years, he served as an advisor to the Minister of Youth and Sports in Somalia. He passed away at the age of 59 after contracting COVID-19, becoming the first Arab athlete to die from the virus. His death was a significant loss for Somali football.
