Mohamed Mahmoud Shabaan, popularly known as Baba Sharou, was an Egyptian broadcaster who rose to fame by presenting children's talks as well as dramatic and musical programs on Egyptian radio. He was born in Alexandria on September 21, 1912, and became a beloved figure in radio entertainment. His contributions to children's programming were particularly notable, and he remained a significant presence in the media until his passing on January 10, 1999.
