Mohamed Orabi, born on January 26, 1951, is a former Egyptian foreign minister and current member of the House of Representatives. He served as Minister of Foreign Affairs from June 6, 2011, to July 16, 2011, succeeding Nabil al-Arabi. Many regard him as a pioneer of the golden age of Egyptian-German relations. Orabi has held various diplomatic positions, including ambassador to Germany, and served in other embassies in key locations. After leaving his ministerial role, he led the Congress Party until his resignation in May 2014.
