Sheikh Alhaji Mohamed Sanusi Tejan was a prominent Sierra Leonean Sunni Muslim preacher and Islamic scholar. Born on January 19, 1950, he became Chief Imam of the Fourah Bay Mosque in 1996. Known for his extensive knowledge of the Quran and Islamic jurisprudence, he preached widely across Sierra Leone. An architect by training, he initially worked for the Ministry of Works before dedicating himself fully to Islamic teaching. He memorized the Quran by age twelve and was a respected educator at the Fourah Bay Madrassa. He passed away on August 17, 2016.
