Mohammad Salimi was an Iranian military leader and former Chief of Staff of the Iranian Army. He held significant roles during the Iran-Iraq War, including leading unconventional warfare operations and numerous battles. Salimi was appointed Minister of Defense in 1981 under Prime Minister Mir Hussein Mousavi until August 1984. He also served as head of the military advisory office for Ali Khamenei, playing a crucial role in the liberation of cities such as Susangerd and the First Gulf War.
