Mohammad Sarafraz is an influential Iranian media executive who led the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) from 2014 to 2016. He served as the 6th director-general, taking over from Ezatollah Zarghami. With a Ph.D. in political sciences from Saint Joseph University of Beirut and a Master's from Imam Sadiq University, Sarafraz has been active in IRIB since 1993. He is credited with launching several significant television channels, including Press TV, Hispan TV, al-Alam, and iFilm, contributing to Iran's media landscape.
