Born on December 25, 1922, in Fes and passing away on August 23, 1993, in Rabat, he founded the doctrine of Islamic personalism. His works have been translated into over 30 languages. Lahbabi studied at the Sorbonne in Paris, where he earned a doctorate in philosophy, later becoming a professor of philosophy at Mohammed V University in Rabat. He was also instrumental in establishing the Union of Arab Writers in the Maghreb.
