Mohammed Yahya (1901-1990) was an influential educationist and politician in the North-West Frontier Province of British India. He founded and served as the first headmaster of Islamia High School in Peshawar. Yahya was also the Education Minister of the N.W.F.P. and played a key role in proposing the establishment of Peshawar University. He was an accomplished scholar with a master's degree in Philosophy and was closely associated with prominent political figures, including Khan Abdul Ghaffar Khan. His son, Mohammad Saleem Jan, also achieved notable success in banking.
