Moisés Ruiz Tocón was an Andalusian coach and politician born on April 8, 1956, in San Roque, Cádiz. He grew up in Almería and excelled in various sports, notably volleyball and handball. He was a key figure in promoting volleyball in Spain, founding the Club Voleibol Almería and achieving major successes, including a rise to the División de Honor. He also served as the sports councilor in Almería and later became mayor of Alboloduy. He passed away on November 12, 2002, leaving a legacy honored by renaming a sports pavilion in Almería after him.
