Moisés Vargas (October 7, 1905 - February 1, 1978) was a Colombian artist known for his sculptures of prominent national figures and monumental carvings of Christ. He was born in Bogotá and trained in France and Spain, where some of his works remain. Vargas received numerous awards at prestigious European exhibitions. In Colombia, he won the prize at the Eighth National Artists' Salon in 1950 for his granite bust of Laureano Gómez, with the majority of his art located in the country.
