Dame Mona Ann Mitchell was a British courtier born on 20 February 1938, daughter of Major General Francis Neville Mitchell. She worked as secretary to jockey Fulke Walwyn and fashion designer Hardy Amies before joining the Royal Household in 1968 as secretary to Princess Alexandra, later becoming her Private Secretary from 1974 to 1991. For her service, she received several honors including Member of the Royal Victorian Order and became a Dame Commander. She passed away on 17 December 2002.
