Morad Daoud is a Syrian novelist and sculptor born in Salamiya on August 2, 1960. He is a member of the Story Association in the Syrian Writers Union. He obtained a vocational high school diploma in industrial electricity and worked in a defense factories institution until his retirement in 2011, after which he dedicated himself to literary and sculptural work. He published his first novel in 2008 and has released several works since, including novels and a short story collection. He has participated in various art exhibitions showcasing his wooden sculptures.
