He served as a Pentecostal evangelist from 1942 and held various pastoral roles, including assistant pastor in Filadelfia Oslo and pastor in cities like Skien and Trondheim. He was notably the pastor of Filadelfia Oslo from 1971 to 1989. In the 1965 parliamentary election, he was elected as a deputy representative. Kornmo was married for nearly 60 years and passed away on March 26, 2010.
