Morizō Gotō (January 25, 1918 - May 10, 1991) was a Japanese ophthalmologist, haiku poet, and writer born in Hokkaido. His real name was Eizō. He graduated from Iwate Medical University and earned his Doctor of Medicine from Hokkaido Imperial University in 1946. In 1949, he co-founded the Hokkaido Literary Group and established Gotō Eye Hospital in Kamakura, where he also edited the literary magazine 'Nanboku'. He was a disciple of Mantarō Kubota and won the Ōyake Sōichi Non-Fiction Prize in 1974 for his series 'My Mantarō Kubota'.
