Morrel H. Cohen is an American theoretical physicist known for his work in condensed matter physics. He served as a Professor of Physics at the University of Chicago from 1952 to 1981, becoming the Louis Block Professor of Physics and Biology in 1972. After his tenure at the university, he worked at Exxon Research and Engineering Company from 1981 to 1996, then took on an Emeritus role until 2000. Currently, he holds post-retirement positions at Rutgers and Princeton University, with over 280 published documents and 24,000 citations.
