Morris Ervin Broadnax was an American songwriter born on February 9, 1931, in Detroit, Michigan. He was notable for his work at Motown in the 1960s, co-writing hits with Stevie Wonder and Clarence Paul, such as Aretha Franklin's 'Until You Come Back to Me' and the Contours' 'Just a Little Misunderstanding.' After leaving Motown in 1969, he became a community activist advocating for education in Detroit. Broadnax passed away on February 17, 2009.
