Morten Aasbø is a Norwegian travel journalist born on July 18, 1952, in Lillesand. He worked as a journalist for VG from 1981 to 1990 and has since been a freelance journalist writing travel guides, including those on Gran Canaria (1991) and the Balearics (1993). In January 2010, he published "De lærte oss å reise - 50 år med norsk charterturisme," detailing the rise of Norwegian charter tourism. This book is used as a required text at Innlandet University College's tourism program. Currently, he is working on new travel guides about Estonia and Latvia.
