He co-founded the group The Three Suns in 1939 along with his brother Al Nevins and cousin Artie Dunn, achieving several hit records in the 1940s. His notable composition 'Twilight Time' (1944) was later recorded by The Platters and featured in various films. Nevins also contributed as an arranger and composer later in his career. He was born on May 26, 1917, in Washington D.C., and passed away on July 20, 1990, in Beverly Hills.
