Moss Mabry (July 5, 1918 – January 25, 2006) was a prominent American costume designer known for his work in cinema. Starting his career in high school theatre, he later studied engineering before moving to Hollywood, where he trained at an art school and collaborated with designer Don Loper. Over a 35-year career, he designed costumes for about 90 films, notably creating James Dean's iconic red jacket in 'Rebel Without a Cause' (1955). Although nominated for an Oscar four times, he never won, yet made significant contributions to classic films and dressed many famous actresses.
