Mostafa Hussein Kamel Ahmed Mostafa, born on March 23, 1960, in Beni Suef, is an Egyptian environmental minister who served in Kamal El-Ganzouri's cabinet in 2012 and was removed in a cabinet reshuffle by Hesham Qandil in January 2013. He is a university professor at Cairo University, head of the Geophysics Department, and coordinator of the Petroleum Sciences Program. Kamel specializes in field measurements for studying the earth and its resources, including minerals, groundwater, hydrocarbons, and advanced environmental studies.
